Tamir Lichtenberg: Factory Outlet

Tamir Lichtenberg transforms the space of Rosenfeld Gallery into a store consisting of a workshop and a show room. Lichtenberg will man the store during gallery hours in order to create new works, sell his merchandize, and converse with the walls. Due to the store's imminent closing, all items will be sold at half price. Additional drawings will also be sold at affordable prices, calculated according to paper weight.

"Factory Outlet" is an ode to the old stores vanishing from the streets, to hungry shop windows, to sales clerks who gather stories not for sale, to key money, to renovation workers, to smoothed walls, to roofed shopping malls topped with an additional story, to the added stories, to new customers, to customers no longer among us, to all the shelves in the world, to empty cases, defective goods, dust, fingerprints, to sweaty workshops, shipping companies, rumbling stomachs, galleries of contemporary art.
